This new custom residence in the New Jersey countryside sits on a hillside at the edge of a valley and a forest, maximizing both the expansive view of the valley and the sense of enclosure provided by the forest wall.

It includes 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, an art studio, music studio, dedicated home offices, and generously sized living areas. The building was designed with thick, extra-insulated walls, a 4kW solar array, and a dramatic infinity pool, which is cleaned by a biologically filtered natural pond at the lower level.

An important consideration for the project was constructing both public and private spaces with a clear delineation between the two: spaces for the family and spaces from which to work from home.
